Kimberly Clark is expanding its Brazil business to create an innovation and export center for Latin America. The US based company has been investing in capacity expansion equipment in Brazil since 2020. These efforts include the installation of new technologies and the construction of an increasing number of local raw material supply networks. It also predicts sustainability targets, such as using 25% recycled plastics in packaging and reducing non renewable fibers by 50%. The total investment is 120 million US dollars, one third of which will be completed this year.
Thanks to recent investment, K-C's factory in susano, Brazil, can produce 200 million diapers a month. In addition, the automatic production line of wet wipes began at the site. These units also serve the markets of Chile, Peru, Bolivia and Argentina, in addition to Brazil.
