The Henkel Group reported its results for the first three quarters of 2022. In the first three quarters, Henkel maintained its growth momentum with sales increasing by 12.5 percent to 16,889 million euros. In the third quarter, sales rose 17.3 percent year-on-year to approximately 5,976 million euros, a record quarterly sales increase. The sales growth was driven primarily by the Adhesive Technologies business unit.
In the first three quarters of 2022, Henkel Adhesive Technologies' sales increased by 17.6 percent to 8,462 million euros. Organic sales (i.e., adjusted for exchange rates and acquisitions/divestments) rose by 13.7 percent. Price increases continued to be significant in all regions and business areas. In particular, Adhesive Technologies sales increased 22.6 percent to €2,995 million in the third quarter. Organic sales increased 16.8 percent. The growth was driven primarily by price and volume, with double-digit price increases and a small increase in volume. Acquisitions/divestments led to a 1.9% decline in sales, while exchange rate movements led to a 7.7% increase in sales.
Henkel expects organic sales growth of 7.0 to 8.0 percent in fiscal 2022 (previously: 5.5 to 7.5 percent). The Adhesive Technologies business unit expects organic sales growth of 11.0% to 12.0% (previously: 10.0% to 12.0%).
